These shawls are knit with quality merino wool, or a merino wool blend. I would recommend hand washing in mild soap and lukewarm water, squeezing out water, rolling in a towel, and then shaping and laying flat to dry. (I use Eucalan or SOAK, which are no rinse, mild soaps for woolens.) You could also lay the shawl on a protected table and spray with water to freshen up and shape. These shawls can also be steam ironed.
